Mini Competition

This competition is a follow-up to the Chemistry Learning Journey.

Competition details:

- Each class will submit a minimum of 1 entry

- Each entry is a blog write-up (on http://i-breathe-chemistry.blogspot.com/) containing the following content:

1) Learning points from the Chemistry Learning Journey
2) Further insights of one of the learning points read up from textbooks, websites or magazines
3) Everyday sightings of one of the learning points
4) Pictures and videos related to one of the learning points

Members of the competition must consist of members who joined and did not joined the Learning Journey

Chemistry Learning Journey

On 16th March, the Monday of March break, we are going to Science Centre for Chemistry Learning Jouney.

You will be attending a lecture demonstration entitled: Amazing Chemistry.

From this lecture, you will be exposed to a variety of spectacular chemical reactions. You will experience the fantastic colour changes, puffs, flames, bangs and many more amazing chemistry tricks in this lecture demonstration. So, do look forward to an intriguing entertainment while the chemistry principals behind the phenomena are revealed.

The A Levels topics that will be touched on are Exothermic reactions, Catalyst, Acids, Bases, pH indicators, Iodine-Starch reaction, Combustion, Reversible reaction, Redox reaction, Polymers, Precipitation.

You will be given a chance to explore the Science exhibitions at the Science Centre after the Lecture.
